Thelma Nadean (Webber) Davids was born to Glen and Glendolya (Jarman) Webber on September 23, 1931, in Putnam County, MO. She was the third of five children. As a child, she was very involved in 4H, church activities, sewing, canning, and flower gardening.
She envisioned herself as a homemaker and mother and greatly enjoyed working in her vegetable and numerous flower gardens at her home and was devoted to her two children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She also was very active in serving her Lord in the care of others, especially the elderly and disabled children.
Nadean married Oscar Edward Davids on September 23, 1951, at Stringtown Christian Church, Unionville, MO.
They were blessed by a son, Richard Alan Davids in 1954, and a second son, Sheldon Craig Davids in 1961.
They moved to Keokuk, IA, in 1958 where she was employed by Keokuk Public Schools as a teacher’s aide in Project Discovery and as an aide to various handicapped children throughout her career starting in 1974 until her retirement in 1994.
Nadean and Oscar were charter members of New Testament Christian Church, Keokuk, IA, where they served in leadership roles, teaching, opening their home to Bible studies, housing revival pastors, neighbors, friends, and family. She also enjoyed oil painting, crafting, sewing, quilting, flower arranging, baking, camping and playing piano and singing. She frequently visited and entertained residents at many area retirement and care facilities, and, when possible, would also include her grandchildren in those visits.
We will all miss her, but are forever grateful to have basked in her love and care and her great example in our lives for 95 years.
She departed this world to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Homestead Care Facility in Knoxville, IA.
