Oral Dean Wyant, 84, of Unionville MO passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in Unionville, MO.
The family will gather for a graveside service at Scobbe Cemetery in Pollock MO August 29, 2026 at 10:30 am.
Celebration of Life will be at noon Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Pollock Community Building.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Putnam County Health Department Partners & Prevention to help with gas cards for cancer related appointments.
Dean was born on November 9, 1941 in Pollock MO to Virgil & Raymah (Hill) Wyant. He graduated from Milan High School in 1960. Dean married Sharon Myers in Pollock MO on October 28, 1961.
He grew up on the family farm south of Pollock, raised a family of 3 boys in Pollock, later moving to Unionville in 1994.
Dean enjoyed hunting (quail, pheasants, deer), traveling, and family time. Dean along with his brother and close friends traveled playing music in their band “The Country Gentlemen” in the 60s – 70s. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ in Pollock until recent years and then
attended Parkview Church of Christ.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patsy Olmstead (Walter), brother in laws Jerry Myers and Herb Jones, nephew Stan Olmstead, & niece Marlnea White.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home. Three boys: Mark of Unionville, Rick (Jackie) of Trenton, & Jason (Passion) of Unionville. 6 grandchildren: Markeesha (Matt) & Trevor, Keith & Ethan (Tasha), Justin (Kaitlyn), & Jaden (Teagan). Four great grandchildren: Mayson, Tyson,
Elsie, & Kolten. Brother, Gene Wyant (Sharlene), brother & sister in laws William & Janet
Schoonover and several nieces and nephews.
