Randall “Randy” S. McCormack, 71, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on March 19, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 23, 1953, in Unionville, MO to Harold “Dean” and Barbara “JoAnn” (Livingston) McCormack. After growing up in Lemons, MO and attending the Lemons Elementary School he graduated from Unionville High School with the class of 1971. He eventually moved to Kansas City to further his career as a fire alarm technician. This is where he met and married his wife, Debbie. In 2007, Randy moved to Punta Gorda, FL where he enjoyed life on the water, in the sunshine and on the golf course with his son, Josh and members of the Twin Isles Islesmen. We would often laugh about how he supplemented his “fixed income” with his earnings playing golf. As the “Big Winner” he may have brought home $1.05 playing with his nickel group on Saturdays. Of course, breakfast cost $10.00, so we were never sure how that math added up, but the joy his golf buddies gave him, was immeasurable. His final round was spent playing at the Renaissance Club (home of the Scottish Open) in Scotland on a “Bucket List” trip to Europe in July 2024.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Chris McCormack, Matt (Jennifer) McCormack, Jenny (Chris) Peck, Josh McCormack and Megan McCormack; brother Mike (Tina) McCormack; sister Dee Ann (Garry) Fuller; grandchildren Kayla (Caine) Hundley, Morgan (Aaron) McCormack, Ally McCormack; Logan McCormack, Audrey DeBerry and Charlie Pack; and great-granddaughter Maliyah Carpenter. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mona Vieregg, father-in-law John Vieregg, sisters-in-law Joyce McCormack, Leah (Joe) Voyles and Jamie Butler, Aunt and Uncle Karen and Wayne Eitel and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a special husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many and will be missed by all.
