Sharon Ann Hatfield, 83, of Unionville, MO passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on February 5th, 2024.
Sharon (Cullum) Hatfield was born in Glendale, Missouri, on March 20, 1940, the daughter of Loren and Mary (Gray) Cullum who preceded her in death. She attended rural schools and graduated from Livonia High School in 1958. On February 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Bob Hatfield. He proceeded her in death in 1978.
Sharon was an active member of Omaha Baptist Church since 1947. She had a servant’s heart and loved to help in the kitchen at church. Sharon also loved to cook for her family and her family dinners were a highlight of her life. Sharon liked to watch her grandsons play baseball and loved family gatherings with her extended family. She was a wonderful and caring mother who often took Todd to country music shows in the surrounding area. Sharon taught Head Start in Livonia for four years and worked as a 911 dispatcher for fifteen years, but her most beloved job was caring for her family.
Sharon is survived by her three sons, Tim Hatfield of Unionville, MO, Tony Hatfield (Angie) of Livonia, MO, and Todd Hatfield (Rhonda) of Unionville, MO. Sharon’s surviving grandchildren are April Frady (Amos), Tyson Hatfield (Laura), Courtney Hatfield, Tyler Hatfield (Elaina), and Lainie Cowan. Surviving great grandchildren are Ashten and Asa Frady, Trapper Hatfield, and Waylon Hatfield. Sharon is also survived by sisters-in-law, Joyce Cullum, Gladys Hatfield, Sharon Hatfield, and Marilyn Kellison and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Marty Hatfield in infancy; brother, Larry Cullum; and nephew, Joe Cullum.
Funeral Services for Sharon Hatfield were held at the Omaha Baptist Church on Friday, February 9, with visitation one hour prior to her funeral. Kevin Collins conducted the service. Mary Vestal sang “I Can Only Imagine” and recorded selections were “God on the Mountain” and “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain.” Pallbearers were Tyson Hatfield, Tyler Hatfield, Trapper Hatfield, David Jonaitis, Don Whitehead, Ashten Frady, Ronald Blankenship, and Dwayne VanVelzer. Honorary Pallbearers were Rich Cullum, Kenny Branson, Charlie Dolbear, Joey Roy, Asa Frady, and Pat Morgan. Burial was at the McCune Cemetery.
