Judy Ann Eddy, age 78 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Westridge Specialty Care Center in Knoxville, Iowa. Judy was born on November 19, 1947, in Unionville, Missouri the daughter of Pearl and Lelah (Spence) Perkins. She attended the Springtown country school until the 8th grade and then graduated from the Putnam County High School with the class of 1965. Judy was united in marriage to Steve Cowan after high school, they had one son Johnnie Cowan. The couple later parted ways. Judy was later united in marriage to Bobby Eddy on February 14, 1976, the couple would have celebrated 50 years of marriage next month. Judy worked in food service for many years in Centerville, she later spent 17 years working in the Laundry Department for Mercy One Medical Center in Centerville, she had a real love for cooking and enjoyed collecting cook books. She had a real love for animals, especially at one point her lambs and her dogs.
Judy is survived by her husband Bobby Eddy, her son Johnnie Cowan (Johnna Kimberlin) her grandchildren Daniel Cowan, Alyssa Cowan, Kelsey Cowan, Dakota Cowan, Sophia Cowan and Shakira Cowan, her first great-grandchild Jack Daniel Cowan, her brother Rick Perkins, her niece Breanne Hunt and nephew Brian Perkins along with several other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Steve Cowan and her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 30th at the First Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the service time. Burial will follow at the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be given to Forever Friends Rescue in Centerville, Iowa.
