Pamela Kay Lunsford, age 70, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, in La Monte, Missouri with her family by her side.
Pamela was born on October 31, 1954, in New Underwood, South Dakota to Almyra Betty Crouse and Truman Laverne Lunsford.
Pamela graduated from Green City, Missouri High School with the class of 1972. In February 1978, she enlisted in the United State Air Force, where she served as a jet engine mechanic for 7 years until honorably discharged from duties in April 1985. Shortly after, Pam began working for the United States Postal Services as a Mail Carrier until her retirement.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Lunsford. She was also preceded in death by her loving wife, Laurie Sutej, with whom she shared 38 years of love and laughter with. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Daleen and husband Keith of Sedalia, Missouri; brother John Lunsford of Kirksville, Missouri; as well as six nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, and four great-great nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Pamela’s life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Casady-Luscan Funeral Home in Green Castle, Missouri. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. Private graveside services in Omaha, Nebraska at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the Kirksville, MO Humane Society.
