Carol Templeton was born in Green City, Missouri on October 22, 1933 to William (Bill) Fetters and Rita Irene Fetters and went to be with our wonderful Lord on April 7, 2025. She married Guy Russell Templeton on December 30, 1951. They lived for several years in Midway, located 7 miles west of Unionville. Guy and Carol enjoyed 73 wonderful years together.
They have three children: Terry Duane, Kevin Mark, and Stanley Gale. Terry Duane was born on December 9, 1952 and passed away two days later on December 11. Kevin and his family reside in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and Stanley with his wife, Ruth, live in Peru, South America serving as missionaries.
In July 1962 an evangelist visited the rural area where they lived just west of Unionville. The evangelist requested permission to put up his tent on the land of Guy’s father, Arthur, for the purpose of holding a revival. Arthur gave his approval and the revival lasted two weeks. Both Guy and Carol came to know the Lord Jesus as her Savior at this tent revival on July 14, 1962. This event completely changed both their earthly lives and their eternal destiny.
Carol was a dedicated believer in Christ, a faithful wife and a wonderful mother to her family. She was known for her love, kindness, baking, and attention to detail. Most of all, she would want to be known for reading her Bible. She read the Bible through at least once a year for many years. Every time she came to the death of Moses in the book of Deuteronomy, she was moved to tears.
She is survived by her husband Guy, two brothers Don and Larry, two sons Stanley and Kevin, 7 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. In her later years, she lived in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee with her husband, Guy. On April 7, 2025, she changed her temporary address for a permanent residence in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church designated as Templeton Mission Fund.
